AMETEK MOCON is seeking a strategic and results-driven leader to serve as DVP, Business Manager for Alphasense, a global leader in gas sensor technology for safety, industrial process, and environmental monitoring markets. This role carries full P&L responsibility and oversees all aspects of the business—including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Engineering, and Strategic Growth Initiatives. As a key member of the leadership team, you will shape the future of Alphasense by driving innovation, operational excellence, and sustainable growth across global markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Leadership
- Own P&L and Balance Sheet accountability.
- Develop monthly forecasts and annual operating budgets.
- Manage working capital and ensure alignment with financial goals.
- Commercial Excellence
- Achieve order, revenue, and shipment targets.
- Design and manage Sales Incentive Plans (SIPs).
- Lead and coach global sales teams across direct and indirect channels.
- Customer Service & Aftermarket
- Ensure exceptional customer support for service and parts.
- Drive aftermarket revenue growth through innovative tools (e-commerce, remote diagnostics).
- Implement training programs to enhance customer engagement.
- Strategic Growth & Marketing
- Identify new markets and expansion opportunities.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies and communications.
- Evaluate M&A opportunities to strengthen portfolio and enter adjacent markets.
- Innovation & Product Development
- Oversee new product development (NPD) and product sustainability initiatives.
- Optimize engineering processes for efficiency and innovation.
- Lead NPD reviews using AMETEK Business System tools.
- Operational Excellence
- Deliver on shipment targets and operational KPIs.
- Drive continuous improvement through Lean, Kaizen, and other methodologies.
- Implement best practices across supply chain and procurement.
- Leadership & Talent Development
- Foster a high-performance, inclusive culture aligned with AMETEK values.
- Attract, retain, and develop top talent.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and recognition to drive engagement and results.
- Executive Reporting
- Prepare and present forecasts, strategic plans, and performance updates.
- Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews with BU, Division, and Executive Office leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree (Preferred).
- Experience within the Gas sensor industry.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive global management experience with P&L responsibility.
- Strong financial acumen and proven ability to lead change management initiatives.
- P&L management for businesses exceeding $10M in annual revenue.
- Global, multisite leadership experience.
