We have an exciting opportunity for a people-focused and motivated Practice Manager to join Amery Veterinary Group. With the recent appointment of a new Director of Practice & Clinical Services, our practice is evolving with a fresh vision, supportive leadership and a real focus on team culture, client experience and continuous improvement. Well-established, RCVS-accredited small animal practice with three sites across Alton, Bordon, and Grayshott. Our Alton and Bordon clinics are fully equipped for surgical and diagnostic work, while our Grayshott branch provides a welcoming space for consultations. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent care while building lasting relationships with our loyal clients and their pets. Located near the beautiful South Downs National Park and within easy reach of the coast, we offer a fantastic location to live and work.
This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We are open to discussing flexibility for the right candidate.
How you’ll make a difference
As Practice Manager, you will lead the non-clinical operations of the practice, working closely with clinical leadership to ensure efficient day-to-day running, strong team performance, and an outstanding client experience. You’ll be responsible for operational delivery, people management, and compliance, while supporting the practice to achieve its performance, quality, and service objectives. This role plays a key part in creating a positive culture and enabling clinical teams to deliver excellent care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and develop the non-clinical team, creating a positive and collaborative culture
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows
- Deliver an excellent client journey from first contact through to follow-up care
- Manage rotas, recruitment, onboarding, and team development
- Support financial processes including invoicing, payroll, and stock control
- Monitor performance and support practice growth and improvements
- Ensure compliance with RCVS standards, health & safety, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain facilities, equipment, and stock levels
- Handle client feedback and resolve issues professionally
- Support marketing and community engagement initiatives
