We are looking for an Art and Design teacher who will support students in a popular and successful Art department.

You will need:
- to have an interest/background in art and design
- to be able to order, prepare and construct learning resources for practical lessons
- to relate well to both students and adults and have excellent interpersonal skills
- to be a team player and show initiative
- to be organised and able to prioritise tasks
- to understand the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures
You will be responsible for:
- setting up and clearing away lesson resources e.g. table set up, sketchbooks, clay, tools, printing press, sewing machines etc.
- assisting with the correct storage of work, clearing drying rack etc.
- ensuring that all health and safety documentation is up-to-date and accurate
- managing stock levels of equipment and resources in the department
- maintaining and using the pug mill, kilns and printing press
Previous school experience would be an advantage but is not essential. We are committed to safeguarding, follow a strict recruitment process and carry out enhanced DBS checks.
