We are seeking to recruit an experienced and highly motivated individual to join Buckinghamshire College Group as a Lecturer - Multi-Skills Construction. Based at our Aylesbury campus, this role is part time working 24.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

  • Salary £31,200.00 to £35,880.00 per annum (pro rata for fractional posts) plus an Industry Sector Payment of up to £6,000.00 is available.
  • Contractual hours 24.5 basis full time.

  • Specialise in a trade and competent in others.
  • Promote high levels of student ambition leading to positive progression.
  • Plan and develop highly effective teaching in subjects’ areas required.
  • Contribute to the colleges pursuit of excellence by delivering high quality teaching.
  • Plan and deliver highly effective learning programmes for diverse groups and individual students, ensuring they are stretched and challenged to reach their full potential.
  • Address the needs of students and work creatively to overcome individual barriers to learning, both within and outside of the classroom.

Taking Teaching Further

The College actively engages with the Education & Training Foundation’s Taking Teaching Further scheme to recruit industry professionals to teach within Further Education. As industry professionals offer our students industry experience and insight, we support our unqualified teachers to learn ‘on the job’. You will be given full support throughout your development to fully qualified teacher status. Whilst in employment you would be enrolled onto the Level 3 Award in Education and Training. After completion you can choose to move onto our Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training qualification. This is a great way for experienced professionals to achieve a recognised teaching qualification whilst in employment.
