Job Title: Porter (Night Shift)

Location: Coatbridge Service Centre, ML5

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Shift Times: Sunday to Friday (11pm – 7am) working 5 out of 6, plus additional rest day dependant on shift rota.

Rate of Pay: ÂŁ12.54 per hour, plus Nightshift Allowance.

This role is in support of Cencora\’s wholesale distribution services in Europe operating through our Alliance Healthcare business.

Job Purpose
Responsible for the accurate checking, sorting and loading of orders / Tote boxes and housekeeping of work areas.

Responsibilities
-
Must accurately check orders / totes from drop sheets paying special attention to route, according to procedures.
-
All missing orders / totes must be recorded and notified to a Line Manager.
-
Ensure orders / totes are allocated to pallet / route cage.
-
Prioritise orders / totes by route departure time.
-
Loading vehicles as per instructions, ensuring that all bins, boxes, bags are located in the vehicle in a safe manner.

Completing any relevant Dropsheet or checklist as the vehicle is loaded.

Ensuring the vehicle is secured once loading is complete.
-
Ensuring that all pallets and cages are stored correctly and bins, boxes, bags are stacked in a safe manner.

Ensure all Health & Safety regulations are adhered to.

Any other tasks required by management.
Requirements

Flexible and adaptable approach to work.

Ability to work under pressure.

Ability to communicate well with others.

Good visual accuracy, numeracy and communication skills.

Committed to working in a hazard‑free, world class health and safety environment.
Desirable
Drivers Licence for car/transit van.
Current Forklift Licence.
Any experience of working in a similar role would be highly desirable.
