Job Details

  • Location: Leeds Service Centre
  • Reports To: Upline Managers
  • Working Days: Monday – Friday
  • Working Hours: 14:00 – 20:15 (Mon–Thu), 12:00 – 20:30 (Fri)

Job Purpose

To lead, motivate and act as the primary point of contact for Team Members in achieving daily operational targets set by the Management Team. This role focuses on guiding and developing staff while embedding the company values of Trust, Care, Innovation, Partnership and Dedication.

Key Objectives

  • Drive daily performance to achieve or exceed productivity and quality targets in line with departmental KPIs.
  • Execute the daily staffing plan to maintain optimal operational output, escalating concerns to the Line Manager as required.
  • Deliver training on operational procedures, including Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), with a strong emphasis on housekeeping.
  • Promote and support our Investors in People (IIP) culture through team briefings, training, one-to-ones and return‑to‑work discussions where applicable.
  • Support the Senior Management Team in meeting departmental and company-wide objectives.
  • Undertake any reasonable request from the Service Centre Management Team, promoting and supporting company initiatives.

  • Understanding of Warehouse and Distribution processes.
  • Familiarity with Security, Audit and Compliance requirements.

Level of Decision Making

Once trained, the role holds a degree of autonomy within company policy and guidance from the Inbound Manager. Works alongside Team Members and Management to suggest process and procedural improvements.

Additional Information

Flexibility is required regarding overtime, including potential weekend and Bank Holiday work, in line with business needs and with as much notice as possible, as outlined in the Staff Handbook.
