PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Liaise with Inbound Freight companies to book the receipt of inbound stock in an organized manner.
- Receiving Ambient and cold chain product and checking for obvious damages.
- Maintain all stock location numbering, sections.
- Proficient experience in an inventory management system.
- Inbound Receiving and put away, Stock replenishment, Waving of orders, Pick/Pack, Invoice and consignment.
- To lift, maneuver and load various types of products as required and in accordance with manual handling procedures.
- To ensure that pathways used for maneuvers are kept clear of any obstructions to ensure the safe and smooth transition of the product.
- Stock picking and order completion.
- Comply with World Courier Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- To train, retain and motivate staff within a team based management culture.
- Proactively motivate your teams to ensure targets and deadlines are clearly understood and are being achieved and act as an immediate point of reference for problems.
- To communicate and liaise with, and escalate issues to fellow managers, management and internal and external service providers where necessary.
- To contribute towards the improvement of processes, methods of operating and practices.
- Complete weekly/monthly statistic reports, ensuring all MHE servicing and maintenance is up to date.
- Work Health & Safety oversight of warehouse.
- Maintain clean and organized warehouse.
- Minimum 5 years warehouse experience.
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
- Experience in Receiving/put away, inventory/replenishment, Pick/Pack process from waving order to completion, booking of transport for cold chain orders for re-fridge transport.
- Understanding of the sensitivity of handling pharmaceutical products and working with and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
- Current forklift license - counter balance and electric reach trucks.
- Experience in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Excellent interpersonal relationships.
- Be able to take initiatives and responsibilities.
- Significant customer service and/or operations experience.
- An understanding of Imports and Exports processes and statutory requirements.
- Sound experience using the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Sound level of numeracy and demonstrated attention to detail.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work flexibly within tight time schedules and in accordance with variable workload demands.
