In this exciting role you will deliver activity to support progress against the Columbia Threadneedle Investments global diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) strategy and priorities. You will support requests for DEI information from clients and DEI reporting to meet statutory and regulatory obligations. You will also analyse DEI data to gain insights and track progress against business unit DEI goals, whilst supporting development of messaging to share progress with employees and key stakeholders.

How you'll spend your time...

  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Columbia Threadneedle Investments DEI strategy and priorities, using DEI expertise, best practice research and insights from the analysis of data. Support business unit goal setting and progress reviews, owning the production of insight presentations and tracking of progress against goals - enabling progress against our DEI vision so every employee feels like they belong and can reach their full potential.
  • Support requests for DEI information from institutional and intermediary clients (e.g. DEI annual surveys). Manage and update the DEI question and answer library, ensuring responses are up-to-date and effectively positioning our DEI activity with clients. Support process enhancements to ensure we are telling a consistent and effective DEI story across all of our external stakeholder groups.
  • Enable delivery of DEI initiatives (e.g. self id campaign) to support progress against agreed priorities. Collaborate with HR Business Partners and HR Centers of Excellence to help embed DEI considerations into people practices and processes, such as talent acquisition, talent management and learning - helping to recruit, retain, develop and advance employees from underrepresented backgrounds.
  • Work with internal and external communications to support the development of agreed messages to share progress against our DEI strategy with employees and key stakeholders - driving awareness, understanding and engagement. This includes content on our internal intranet, external websites, marketing materials and employee updates. Co-ordinate inputs and manage requirements to meet key statutory and regulatory DEI reporting activities (e.g. UK Gender Pay Gap).
  • Provide guidance and support to stakeholders, leaders and employee resource groups encouraging active participation in promoting DEI across the firm, in line with agreed priorities and governance frameworks. Engage with external partners to support requirements for agreed initiatives, while connecting into industry forums to maintain awareness of best practices.

To be successful in this role you will have...

  • Established experience in a DEI focused role with a proven track record of supporting progress against DEI priorities.
  • Good knowledge of DEI principles, best practices and emerging trends.
  • The ability to analyse and interpret data to inform decision-making and produce meaningful reports or presentations for a variety of audiences.
  • A strong communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to build effective relationships, collaborate and influence at all levels.
  • The ability to manage conversations on sensitive topics constructively and professionally, acting as an organisational steward.

It would be great if you also had...

  • Experience of working in a global financial services business.
