In your role, you will plan and execute less complex portions of the internal audit plan, including audit activities and SOX/ISAE3402/SOC compliance activities. You will present objectives and results to various levels of management. You will evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. You will identify control deficiencies, assess exposure and significance, and propose cost-effective recommendations.
How you\’ll spend your time…
- Planning and executing less complex portions of the internal audit plan, including audit activities and compliance activities. Gathering and providing input into risk assessments in accordance with department standards, mainly in less complex areas. Presenting results to management.
- Identifying control deficiencies, assessing exposure and significance, and proposing cost-effective recommendations. Monitoring and validating the status of Management Action Plans. Recommending closure of Management Action Plans when actions are complete and deficiencies addressed.
- Coordinating with internal and external control groups in planning and executing assigned work.
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships within Asset Management.
To be successful in this role, you will have…
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant.
- Experience in public accounting, internal audit, technology audit, or related financial services field.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across multiple teams, grades, and jurisdictions.
- Work requiring advanced knowledge, characterized as predominantly intellectual work with discretion and judgment.
- Advanced knowledge acquired through prolonged specialized educational instruction.
If you also had this, it would be great…
- CISA, CISSP, CIA certifications.
- ICAEW, ACA, ACCA, CIMA accounting qualifications.
- Experience managing small to mid-sized projects.
