The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.
Working within EMEA Treasury, you will report directly to the Head of Liquidity Management, whilst also supporting the Head of Capital Management in the delivery of critical prudential regulatory planning processes across the region (e.g. ICARA and ORSA).
Primarily focused upon the effective management of liquidity risk across Columbia Threadneedle’s international business and regulated entities, over time it is envisaged that you will become the team’s subject matter expert as it relates to liquidity risk and regulation. Key tasks will include liquidity forecasting, stress testing and policy development, as well as ensuring daily compliance with financial risk limits. As required, you will also support special projects across the Strategic Liquidity book of work, as well as providing cross-team support in ICARA, ICARAP, ORSA delivery and effective functioning of the EMEA Financial Risk Management Committee.
We are looking for highly motivated and intellectually curious person, with a track record of delivering success, both alone and as part of high performing teams. A background within a regulated financial services firm, ideally Banking or Asset Management, within a risk, treasury or regulatory reporting environment would be a distinct advantage.
How you’ll spend your time…
Assist and take responsibility for key tasks associated with the delivery of ICARA, ICARAP, ORSA and annual Solvency 2 documents to a high standard for Columbia Threadneedle Investments business – in particular, as the subject matter expert for liquidity risk across the region (including liquidity planning, stress testing, recovery and wind-down).
Develop understanding of the financial risk management framework, contributing to policies, procedures and the calibration of management thresholds to ensure the EMEA Group and its legal entities continue to operate within the risk tolerance of the firm.
Continue to evolve EMEA Treasury oversight of relevant balance sheet risks – collating data inputs and creating MIS that enables timely management action and high-quality reporting into senior committees.
Complete monthly liquidity forecasting, collaborating with appropriate areas of Treasury and Finance to ensure completeness and accuracy. Presenting key findings to the Treasury Governance Forum and providing recommendations to optimise return on liquid assets..
Continuous assessment and optimisation of Capital & Liquidity resources, including: identifying opportunities to enhance overall return on liquid assets; optimise Group and Legal Entity financial risk and resource requirements.
Proactive partnership with EMEA Treasury Operations and Cash Management team, ensuring good connectivity between risk, policy and execution. Acquire knowledge and skills to be able to provide secondary support and back-up for the Desk, as and when required.
Professional Accountancy, Treasury or Financial Risk qualification preferred (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACT, CFA)
Understanding of risk management, Investment Firms Prudential Regime (IFPR/IFR/IFD) and capital and liquidity within regulated financial services firm (preferably Banking or Asset Management).
Experience with ICAAP/ICARA/ICARAP, ORSA processes.
Prior experience in Asset Management/ Banking institution or consulting firm
Good working knowledge of MS Office applications including advanced Excel skills.
Clear planning and project management
Interpersonal skills required to co-ordinate input from other business areas
Questioning and inquisitive mindset with attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work under tight deadlines
