Here at Americold, we are recruiting for Warehouse Operatives based at our Spalding site. This role is based within our Blast Freeze section, where you’ll be responsible for a mix of general operative and forklift duties in a temperature-controlled environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading trucks as required
- Transferring pallets from loading bays to designated storage areas
- Operating within the Blast Freeze area, ensuring product integrity is maintained at all times
- Receiving and dispatching pallets via Warehouse Management System (WMS) using handheld scanners
- Following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Carrying out general warehouse duties, including manual handling and product handling
- Supporting packing and preparation of products for distribution
- Adhering strictly to HACCP food safety standards and company procedures
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety at all times
Working hours
Sunday - Thursday (7am - 5pm)

- Previous experience within a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Flexible approach and willingness to adapt
- Good communication skills
Desirable
- Forklift licence (desirable but not essential – training can be provided)
