Here at Americold Spalding we are now recruiting for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer. As a Maintenance Engineer, your role will be to assist the Engineering Manager with the daily function of running the Maintenance department. Dealing with mechanical, electrical and refrigeration planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across site to ensure equipment is fit-for-purpose and downtime is kept to a minimum.
This position will require you to control and supervise external contractors to ensure Americold H&S policies are always met and adhered to and to ensure the department’s risk assessments and SOPs are updated and compliant. You will drive KPI targets through continuous improvement within the maintenance team and assess individual training needs and implement development plans for each team member.
Experience Required
- Understanding of Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance
- Ammonia knowledge
- Warehouse/Distribution knowledge/experience
- Computer knowledge, Windows, Excel, cloud-based maintenance software
- Formal Supervisor training
Qualifications
- NVQ, BTEC, NNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- IOSH Managing safety.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5pm. On call, 1 in 2 weeks.
