American Traveler is seeking an experienced Pediatric RN with BLS and PALS certification for a night shift role that includes hospital float and care for a range of pediatric diagnoses. Responsibilities
Work in a hospital pediatric unit, Level 2 pediatric trauma center Night shift schedule with 3 x 12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30 Every other weekend and every other holiday required No call responsibilities Float to PICU and within the hospital required Care for all pediatric diagnoses, including non-chemo oncology patients Occasional participation in off-floor procedures such as sedation, lumbar puncture, bone marrow, line placement, imaging, and GI procedures, with support from a sedation service Strong communication skills, customer service, and professional phone etiquette are expected First time travelers accepted Must not reside within a 60-mile radius of the facility Only one holiday RTO (Requested Time Off) allowed if multiple holidays occur during the assignment Modules and orientation to be completed at the start of assignment Requirements
Active WI or Compact RN license required Minimum 2 years of pediatric RN experience Current BLS and PALS (AHA) certifications required Experience with Bed Side Shift Reporting (BSSR), AIDET, and hourly rounding expected APHON certification appreciated but not required Benefits
