Requirements
- Graduate of a CoARC‑approved Respiratory Care Program with RRT credential per NBRC guidelines
- Current, unencumbered RRT license (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS certification
- NRP certification required (or obtainable within 6 months of hire)
- 1 year of RRT experience with knowledge of General Respiratory Care and Mechanical Ventilation preferred
- Experience with pulmonary diagnostics preferred
- Experience with cardiac diagnostics (EKG, Holter monitor, Event Monitor, Cardiac Stress Testing) preferred
- DOB and SSN may be required for consideration
Additional Information
- Administer and monitor respiratory care procedures across specialty areas including Emergency, Neonatal, Pediatric, Geriatric, and Critical Care
- Perform airway management (bag/mask ventilation, suction, assist with intubation)
- Initiate, maintain, and monitor ventilated patients; interpret flow‑volume and pressure‑volume curves to guide clinical changes
- Translate medication dosing for neonatal and pediatric patients using appropriate equipment and procedures
- Assist with orientation and training of new employees, respiratory students, and nursing students
- Maintain accurate documentation of all respiratory care procedures and patient charge reconciliation
- Adhere to facility dress code and infection control, safety, and risk management procedures
