Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT/X-Ray Technologist for a night shift travel contract requiring ARRT certification in Radiology, CT, and MRI, with cross-training across multiple imaging modalities.
Responsibilities
- Diagnostic imaging department within a hospital setting
- Modalities include CT, X-ray, Fluoroscopy, C-arm, and OR imaging
- 3x12-hour night shifts, Thursday through Saturday
- Responsibilities span CT scanning, radiographic procedures, and interventional CT assistance
- Perform CT scans using prescribed protocols, coordinating with the Radiologist on exam protocoling as needed
- Assist the Radiologist with routine and interventional CT procedures
- Demonstrate proficiency in radiographic procedures including X-ray, Fluoroscopy, C-arm, and OR work
- Administer oral and IV contrast per department protocols, adhering to radiation safety and ALARA standards
- Maintain accurate patient records in the EHR, including procedure and supply charging
- Cross-training into other modalities such as MRI, DEXA, and Mammography is a plus
- Experience with PACS and RIS/HIS is preferred
- Flexibility required for call, overtime, and holiday coverage as needed
- Must be self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- ARRT certification in Radiology (R), CT, and MRI required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing CT Technologist preferred
- Proficiency in IV placement and contrast administration required
- State license required if applicable
