Requirements

  • Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care Program with RRT credential per NBRC guidelines
  • Current, unencumbered RRT license (license required if applicable)
  • Current BLS certification
  • NRP certification required (or obtainable within 6 months of hire)
  • 1 year of RRT experience with knowledge of General Respiratory Care and Mechanical Ventilation preferred
  • Experience with pulmonary diagnostics preferred
  • Experience with cardiac diagnostics (EKG, Holter monitor, Event Monitor, Cardiac Stress Testing) preferred
  • DOB and SSN may be required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Administer and monitor respiratory care procedures across specialty areas including Emergency, Neonatal, Pediatric, Geriatric, and Critical Care
  • Perform airway management (bag/mask ventilation, suction, assist with intubation)
  • Initiate, maintain, and monitor ventilated patients; interpret flow-volume and pressure-volume curves to guide clinical changes
  • Translate medication dosing for neonatal and pediatric patients using appropriate equipment and procedures
  • Assist with orientation and training of new employees, respiratory students, and nursing students
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all respiratory care procedures and patient charge reconciliation
  • Adhere to facility dress code and infection control, safety, and risk management procedures
