American Traveler is seeking a local contract Registered Respiratory Therapist for a contract job in Craig, Colorado.
Assignment Overview
- Shift: Nights, 3x12 hrs
- Hours: 36 hrs/wk

Responsibilities
- Administer respiratory care as ordered, with emphasis on emergency, neonatal, pediatric, geriatric, and critical care specialty areas.
- Perform airway management including bag/mask ventilation, suction techniques, and artificial airway use; assist with intubations.
- Initiate, maintain, and monitor ventilator patients; interpret flow volume and pressure volume curves to guide clinical changes.
- Translate medication dosing for neonatal and pediatric patients using appropriate equipment and procedures.
- Assist in orientation and training of new employees and respiratory/nursing students.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all respiratory care procedures and patient charge reconciliation.
- Participate in department in-services, patient care rounds, and mandatory hospital meetings.
- Adhere to facility dress code and infection control, safety, and risk management policies.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience in a hospital setting.
- Graduate of a COARC-approved Respiratory Care Program.
- RRT or CRT credential (NBRC).
- Active state license required if applicable.
- Current certifications: BLS/BCLS and NRP.
- Pulmonary diagnostics experience preferred.
- Cardiac diagnostics experience (EKG, Holter monitor, Event Monitor, Cardiac Stress Testing) preferred.
- DOB and SSN may be required for consideration.
