The Role

As a Structural Engineer, you'll be responsible for carrying out structural inspections, investigating defects and producing detailed reports for clients.

You'll work on a diverse portfolio of projects across residential, commercial and historic buildings while contributing to the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out structural inspections of a wide range of buildings and structures.
  • Diagnose structural defects and identify appropriate remedial solutions.
  • Produce clear, detailed structural survey reports.
  • Prepare specifications for remedial works.
  • Liaise with senior management and provide regular project updates.
  • Support the continued development and growth of the business through innovative ideas and technical input.

About You

We're looking for someone who has

  • Several years' post-graduate experience in structural engineering.
  • Proven experience carrying out structural surveys and producing structural reports.
  • Strong knowledge of traditional and non-traditional construction methods.
  • Excellent technical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written report writing and communication skills.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Desirable Experience

  • Chartered or working towards Chartership (MIStruct E or MICE).
  • Experience working with historic or listed buildings.
