We are working with a leading, employee-owned, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy to recruit a Senior Geotechnical Engineer as part of their continued national growth. Our client has an established presence across the UK, delivering engineering, infrastructure and environmental solutions across sectors including development, transportation, energy and public infrastructure. With a strong pipeline of work and a long-standing reputation for technical excellence, they are looking to strengthen their geotechnical team.
The Role
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will support the delivery of technically challenging and varied projects, working as part of an integrated design team. Key responsibilities will include:
- Planning and overseeing ground investigation works
- Producing and reviewing geotechnical and geo-environmental reports
- Undertaking geotechnical design, including foundations, retaining structures and slope stability
- Supporting infrastructure and development-led projects across multiple sectors
- Liaising with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams
- Managing project delivery, budgets and timelines
- Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to team development
About You
We are keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or a related discipline
- Experience in a consultancy environment delivering geotechnical services
- Strong understanding of UK standards and best practice
- Experience in geotechnical analysis and design
- Chartered status, or working towards chartership (ICE or Geological Society)
- Good project management and client-facing skills
- A collaborative and commercially aware approach
