An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Structural Engineer to join the Watford office of a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality engineering and design solutions across the UK. This role offers the chance to work alongside experienced engineers on a diverse range of projects spanning residential, commercial, education, healthcare, industrial and mixed-use developments. You'll gain exposure to all stages of project delivery and develop your technical and professional skills within a supportive and collaborative environment.
As a Graduate Structural Engineer, you will assist in the design and analysis of structures using a variety of construction materials including steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry. You will work closely with senior engineers and other disciplines within the business, contributing to the successful delivery of projects from concept through to construction.
Key responsibilities:- Assisting with structural calculations and design work.
- Preparing engineering drawings, reports and technical documentation.
- Undertaking site visits and inspections.
- Supporting project teams in delivering innovative and practical engineering solutions.
- Liaising with clients, architects, contractors and fellow consultants.
- Developing proficiency in structural analysis and design software.
- Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng or MEng).
- Strong academic background and enthusiasm for structural engineering.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn.
- Working knowledge of structural design principles and relevant engineering software would be advantageous.
