We are seeking a hands‑on UAV Prototyping Engineer to join an advanced engineering team developing next‑generation drone systems. This role covers the full product lifecycle - from concept design through to prototyping, testing, and production - in a fast‑paced, R&D‑driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop UAV systems from initial concept to production
- Build, test, and iterate drone prototypes
- Contribute to design for manufacture and component selection
- Support field testing, customer trials, and product validation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across engineering and production
- Lead or contribute to design and development projects
Skills & Experience
Essential
- 3-5 years' experience with multi‑rotor UAV platforms
- Strong understanding of: UAV electronics and propulsion, communication protocols and RF systems
- Hands‑on experience with UAV build and prototyping
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM tools (e.g. SolidWorks or Fusion 360)
- Experience reading and producing engineering drawings
Desirable
- Experience with flight systems (e.g. Ardupilot, Pixhawk, Betaflight)
- PCB or electronics design experience
- 3D printing or rapid prototyping capability
- Drone pilot certification (A2 CofC / GVC)
- Strong problem‑solving mindset and attention to detail
