We're looking for a Senior/Section Engineer - Civils to join our team in Twyford, Buckinghamshire. This is a great opportunity to play a key role on a major civils project, supporting safe, high-quality delivery while developing your technical leadership experience with Kier.
Location: Twyford, Buckinghamshire - site based 5 days per week
Hours: Permanent Fulltime 45 hours per week
As a Senior/Section Engineer - Civils, you'll take ownership of the engineering and technical delivery for a defined section of works. Working closely with the wider site team, you'll help ensure construction is delivered safely, to specification, on programme and to the high-quality standards expected across Kier.
What will you be responsible for?
- Taking responsibility for engineering activities across a section of works, making sure construction is delivered in line with drawings and specifications.
- Creating short-term programmes and lookahead plans, coordinating resources, materials and subcontractors to keep work moving effectively.
- Maintaining accurate inspection, testing and as-built records, supporting strong quality assurance across the project.
- Leading safety briefings and helping to maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance on site.
- Supporting Site Engineers and junior team members through technical guidance, coaching and mentoring.
What are we looking for?
- A degree in Civil Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- Progress towards Chartered status, ideally with ICE.
- Strong technical knowledge of civils or infrastructure works.
- Experience supporting or managing engineering teams in a site environment.
- A good understanding of quality assurance processes, documentation and project records.
