Essential Key Responsibilities- Lead, coach, and develop a local technical team to achieve operational plans, including mentoring and career development of staff.
- Hold accountability for delivering the programme and mobilising resources safely, securely, and efficiently.
- Ensure high‑quality outputs that have undergone correct governance processes and are consistent with strategy, policies, processes, and quality standards.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, engaging others to positively influence decisions and programme delivery.
- Maintain accurate configuration of engineering deliverables and ensure team competence through appropriate assessment and evidence requirements.
- Provide agile capability by delivering critical skills and resources aligned to business requirements supporting the programme.
- Promote a diverse & inclusive environment, encouraging continuous improvement and personal development.
- Significant experience delivering engineering or infrastructure programmes in highly regulated environments, ensuring compliance with stringent safety, security, and quality requirements.
- Proven capability in leading and contributing to technical design reviews, ensuring robust, compliant engineering solutions.
- Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks and assurance processes, with the ability to meet organisational and industry standards.
- Background in construction, utilities, or major build programmes with focus on engineering governance, configuration management, and design assurance.
- Experience within nuclear, defence or other high‑hazard sectors, familiar with nuclear safety principles, security protocols, and regulatory expectations.
- Civil Engineering qualification.
