Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Surveying Manager to lead and develop their UK surveying function. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong roofing professional to take ownership of a growing surveying team while helping shape future surveying processes, standards, and customer experience.
The Role
As Surveying Manager, you will oversee a team of four Surveyors, ensuring the successful delivery of surveying services across the UK. You will play a key role in maintaining technical excellence, driving operational efficiency, supporting customer relationships, and developing best‑in‑class surveying standards. The position will involve regular travel across the UK, with flexibility to support projects nationally when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Surveyors across the UK
- Ensure surveys are completed accurately, safely, and within agreed service levels
- Support surveyors with technical guidance, development, and performance management
- Oversee site surveys including:
- Roof measurements
- Drainage assessments
- Existing falls analysis
- Tapered roofing set‑out support
- Act as a senior technical point of contact for customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders
- Work closely with design, sales, and technical teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Support customer issue resolution and provide onsite technical investigations where required
- Monitor surveying KPIs, reporting, and service performance
- Drive continuous improvement across surveying processes, technology, and standards
- Assist with technical and practical training for internal teams and external partners
- Maintain the highest standards of health and safety
