We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer or Site Engineer with civil engineering experience to transition into a senior planning role, supporting project delivery and tender processes.
Salary: Up to £65,000 p/a (dependent on experience). Additional: Company vehicle or car allowance.
Job Type: Full-time – Permanent.
Responsibilities:
- Advise and assist on planning, methods of construction, solutions to engineering problems, and programme creation.
- Ensure that while planning each tender, all alternative methods and strategies have been considered and discussed with the tender team.
- Provide supporting documents for each tender submission as required.
- Review sub-contracted design work with respect to buildability and tender compliance, seeking advice from the Technical Manager when necessary.
- Ensure that any programmes and supporting documents produced comply with all schemes’ specific constraints.
Qualifications:
- Wide experience of working on civil engineering sites.
- Minimum of an HNC civil engineering qualification.
- Comfortable working in a team.
- Proficient using programming software such as Asta or Microsoft Project (training can be provided).
- Good communication skills and strong technical engineering knowledge.
