Our subcontractor client supporting Water and Environment projects in London are seeking a Graduate Engineer to join their Stratford based team on a permanent basis. Please note the role is not able to support sponsorship applications and candidates must have a right to work in the UK. Our client are a specialist subcontractor supporting major end clients in the water and environmental sectors. With a growing portfolio of infrastructure projects, including work with Thames Water and HS2, they are continuing to expand their teams and offer excellent opportunities for early-career professionals to develop within a dynamic and supportive environment.
This role will primarily support Thames Water UV lining schemes and HS2 projects, working closely with engineers and project managers to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate looking to build a long-term career in civil engineering within a growing company that offers genuine progression opportunities.
Responsibilities- Support engineers and project managers in the planning and delivery of civil engineering projects
- Assist with Thames Water UV lining projects and HS2-related works
- Help coordinate site activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
- Contribute to the preparation of technical documentation, reports, and method statements
- Monitor project progress and support cost and programme tracking
- Liaise with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers as required
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Attend site visits where necessary to gain practical experience and support delivery
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline (essential)
- Strong interest in the water and infrastructure sectors
- Good understanding of core civil engineering principles
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work full-time from the Stratford office (5 days per week)
- Must have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
- Full UK driving licence (desirable but not essential)
