Start Date: TBC / ASAP. Rate: PAYE - £210 per day / Umbrella - £285 per day. Hours per week: 40. Hybrid: 3 days on site per week. Duration: 12 months.

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as our next Configuration Controller at Hinkley Point C!

Your role as our next Configuration Controller is to control the configuration on the Civil Works scope. You will ensure that both proposed and completed modifications comply with project processes and license condition requirements, and that they align with the overall configuration across ~800 packages and ~80,000 deliverables. This role demands exceptional organisational and problem‑solving skills, coupled with the ability to cultivate strong relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. Your role is crucial in maintaining adherence to procedures and safety rules, providing critical input to the substantiation of the safety case, in the project's delivery of a safe and operable nuclear power station.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keeping the List of Applicable Documents up to date for your assigned area.
  • Processing construction change requests, to ensure the sequential update of the configuration.
  • Managing the site cascade of the design change process into the construction configuration.
  • Serving as the primary contact for your area on behalf of the project during HPC's construction phase.
  • Running data checks across your scope, investigating discrepancies with numerous project stakeholders, then leading the appropriate resolution of each topic and tracking the necessary implementation routes to establish a compliant position.
  • Managing interfaces between work packages on the permanent works to ensure smooth coordination.
  • Identify and develop opportunities to streamline the configuration management processes and procedures on the Civil Works scope, and wider project as necessary.

Who you are

  • A degree/HNC/HND in a relevant science or engineering field, or a strong technical background.
  • Experience managing engineering documentation like Redline Drawings and Work Pack management.
  • Knowledge of Configuration and Nuclear Power Plant standards.
  • Familiarity with change management processes and requests.
