We are seeking an experienced Simulation & Modelling Engineer to join a growing team delivering innovative solutions for Defence and Homeland Security applications. This role offers the opportunity to work on the modelling and analysis of complex systems, developing advanced mathematical and physics-based models using MATLAB and Simulink. Working within multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to cutting‑edge research, prototype development, and proof‑of‑concept technologies, solving challenging engineering problems with real‑world impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and analyse complex system models and interactions using MATLAB and Simulink.
- Create physics‑based models to support simulation, performance assessment, and system development.
- Apply model‑based systems engineering principles and support system architecture activities.
- Develop and maintain simulation test benches for verification and validation purposes.
- Conduct code reviews and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative engineering solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Strong background in developing physics‑based models of complex systems and their interactions.
- Understanding of system architecture, engineering processes, and system lifecycle principles.
- Experience with simulation test bench development and model validation activities.
- Proficiency in MATLAB and Simulink within an engineering or scientific environment.
Additional Information: Candidates must be eligible for UK Security Clearance. This role is not eligible for UKVI visa sponsorship. Based at a modern engineering and research facility just south of Cambridge.
