I'm working with a well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy that is looking to appoint a

Senior Civil Engineer to join its Edinburgh team.

The Role

You'll be involved in the development and delivery of both conceptual and detailed designs across major infrastructure, highway and energy projects.

  • Lead elements of project design and delivery, taking responsibility for technical output, programmes and deliverables.
  • Develop highway and infrastructure designs in accordance with relevant UK standards, including

DMRB requirements.

  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams, clients, statutory bodies and consultees including local authorities, Transport Scotland, Nature Scot and SEPA.
  • Provide technical guidance and checking, while mentoring and supporting more junior engineers.
  • Attend design and site progress meetings and contribute to project management and delivery.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working within highways and infrastructure design, ideally within a consultancy environment.
  • Strong understanding of

DMRB design standards and specifications.

  • Experience using

Civil 3D, Info Drainage, PDS Signs/Lines or similar design software.

  • Experience working on major infrastructure, highways or energy schemes would be highly relevant.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to take responsibility for technical delivery and client requirements.
  • Chartered or working towards Chartered status with

ICE, CIHT or another relevant professional institution .
