Role Purpose:
- Produce civil and structural engineering deliverables including analysis models, calculations, and design inputs
- Provide technical guidance and control of engineering output within a team environment
- Ensure delivery aligns with project requirements, standards, and budget constraints
Job Role Responsibilities:
- Produce civil/structural analysis models, calculations, sketches, and engineering deliverables
- Provide technical guidance and oversight of engineering outputs
- Ensure relevant processes and procedures are followed at all times
- Interface closely with construction operations teams
- Deliver work to budget and ensure variations and changes are captured and compensated
- Challenge designs and deliver value engineering solutions
- Communicate confidently with clients, promoting in-house civil and structural capability
- Support and train more junior engineers
- Produce clear and concise written reports across all aspects of work
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
- Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (CEng / IEng β MICE or MIStructE preferred)
- UK project experience with a strong understanding of current UK regulations and design codes (H&S, environmental, and engineering)
- Proven experience delivering projects within the water sector
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Steelwork connection design
- Reinforced concrete detailing
