  • Project Engineer - Groundworks & RC Structures
  • Locations: Scunthorpe
  • Duration: 5-10 weeks

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage site works to high standards of safety, quality, and performance in accordance with project procedures and standards.
  • Lead "setting to work" briefings with a focus on safe and quality‑driven execution.
  • Direct and prioritize daily site activities in line with project requirements.
  • Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments, and QA documentation.
  • Carry out limited setting out duties as required.
  • Supervise site engineers and manage sub‑contractors effectively.
  • Participate in early design reviews to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance through control, inspection, and test plans.
  • Promote a strong culture of safe working practices on site.
  • Support the Sub‑Agent/Agent with day‑to‑day operations and reporting.
  • Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven experience as a Project Engineer on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong background in groundworks and reinforced concrete.
  • Experience managing high‑value construction packages.
  • Competent in preparing and managing site documentation.
  • SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
  • Valid CSCS card.
  • BSc/BEng in Civil Engineering or related discipline, or HNC/HND equivalent.
  • Must have the right to live and work in the UK.
