We are launching a new structural engineering division within a fast growing, design-led property and architecture group. You will work directly with architects, clients, and contractors on live residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects from day one.
The Opportunity
- Build a structural engineering function from scratch
- Shape technical standards, workflows, and delivery approach
- Work closely with an established architectural practice with immediate project pipeline
- Progress into a future leadership role (Head of Structural Engineering)

What You Will Do
- Lead structural design from concept through to construction
- Produce calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Work closely with architects on integrated, buildable design solutions
- Manage multiple live projects simultaneously
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, and clients
- Help define systems and quality standards for the new division
- Support early-stage business development as the service grows
Essential Skills
- Chartered Structural Engineer (MIStructE or CEng) or near chartership with clear timeline
- UK project experience in residential and commercial sectors
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations and standards
- Confident working independently in a fast-moving environment
- Strong communication skills with architects, contractors, and clients
Desirable
