Essential Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Extensive experience in highways, infrastructure and drainage design.
- Strong understanding of DMRB, Manual for Streets, LTN 1/20, NRSWA and related standards.
- Experience with S278, S38 and S104 adoption agreements.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and drainage modelling software including Causeway Flow.
- Experience preparing Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies for planning applications.
- Good understanding of SuDS, NPPF, PPG and flood risk legislation.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
- Proven ability to manage projects and lead teams effectively.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to support business development.
- Ability to produce clear and accurate technical reports.
Desirable Qualifications
- Chartered status, or working towards Chartership (ICE, CIHT or CIWEM).
- Experience in construction phase supervision and contract management.
- Experience preparing fee proposals and bids.
- Understanding of Flood Risk Activity Permits and Land Drainage Consent processes.

- Lead the design and delivery of highway, infrastructure and drainage projects.
- Prepare designs in accordance with current legislation, national standards and best practice.
- Manage projects, resources, budgets and programme delivery.
- Attend meetings with clients, architects, contractors, local authorities and statutory bodies.
- Produce technical reports, Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to support business growth.
