The predicted salary is between 45000 - 55000 £ per year.

Building a sustainable tomorrow. KierBAM are a Joint Venture (JV) partnership between Kier and BAM UK & Ireland. BAM UK & Ireland's infrastructure segment is currently delivering the redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site located in Plymouth and are seeking an experienced Geotechnical or Section Geotechnical Engineer to assist the Engineer in managing the technical compliance of the project to the design specification to fulfil the assigned project (or section) safely, on time and to the required quality. Due to the sensitive nature of the site, BPSS security clearance is required. Please note that this process can take up to 8 weeks.

Eligibility criteria: Candidates must hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the past 5 years.

As Geotechnical /Section Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Maintain open lines of communication with the Geotechnical team regarding the progress of the project and relevant developments.
  • Writing and maintaining of HSQE documentation.
  • Supervision & management of the safe, efficient delivery of geotechnical works to an excellent technical standard.
  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with the Client, the supply chain and third parties.
  • Maintain high levels of personal safety and environmental standards, implementing safe systems of work on site.
  • Accurate record keeping for site activities, and short term forecasting of resources on a project basis.
  • Awareness of project and business goals and able to relay these to the project team to increase workforce engagement with business.

What do you bring to the role?

  • Required Experience in delivering geotechnical works, competence at management and supervision of project teams, documentation writing, communication skills both written and verbal at all levels.
  • Preferred RoGEP, Professional Membership, CSCS card, SMSTS, First Aid at Work, PTS.
