The Role
We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join a major project based in Buckley, Clwyd.
This is a contract opportunity running until 25 December 2026, working 7.5 hours per day. The successful candidate will provide senior engineering support across the project, helping to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical and engineering support throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate engineering activities across site teams, contractors and other stakeholders
- Review drawings, specifications and technical documentation
- Ensure works are delivered in accordance with agreed designs and project requirements
- Monitor progress against programme and identify potential engineering issues
- Support the resolution of technical queries and site-based problems
- Liaise with project management, design and construction teams
- Ensure appropriate quality, safety and compliance standards are maintained
- Assist with project reporting, documentation and handover requirements
- Support the successful delivery of key project milestones
About You
We are looking for someone with:
- Previous experience as a Senior Project Engineer, Project Engineer or similar
- Strong engineering experience within a construction, infrastructure, industrial or heavy engineering environment
- Experience coordinating engineering activities on complex projects
- Good understanding of drawings, specifications and technical documentation
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A practical, solutions-focused approach to engineering challenges
- The ability to work effectively within a busy site-based project environment
