Role: Civil Engineer
Our client is looking for a Civil Engineer to join their Infrastructure team in York.

Responsibilities of the Civil Engineer role
- Undertaking Technical and Feasibility strategies and studies, FRA's, report writing, drawing up plans and details
- Developing Detailed Designs from concept to construction to comply with relevant regulations, best practices and guidance
- Developing Su DS designs to mitigate flood risk and water quality issues
- Assessing the sustainability and environmental impact of projects
- Coordinating site investigations and analysing data
- Managing resources efficiently to meet deadlines
- Liaising effectively with architects, contractors, consultants, statutory authorities, co-workers and clients
- Developing others including our Trainee Engineers/Technicians & Graduates
Requirements of the role
- BEng/MEng in Construction/Civil Engineering (preferably)
- Detailed experience using Micro Drainage and or Civils 3D carrying a distinct advantage.
- Excellent communication skills
- Sound technical knowledge
- Prepare sketches, technical reports and specifications
- Ability to maintain client contact to inform of progress, issues and problems
- Competent use of Microsoft Word & Excel
- Detailed understanding and use of Analytical/Design and CAD software
- Ability to think creatively to resolve design and development problems
