You will work closely with senior engineers and directors on a variety of projects, contributing to the design and delivery of complex building structures while continuing to build your technical capability and project experience.

Current projects:
  • Large multi‑storey reinforced concrete mixed‑use developments in London
  • Major residential and apartment schemes using steel, masonry and RC structural systems
  • Building conversions and structural alterations, including RC and masonry structures
  • Refurbishment projects, including historic and Victorian building upgrades
  • Temporary works design and construction‑stage engineering support
  • Structural condition surveys and assessments of existing buildings
Responsibilities:
  • Delivering structural designs for building projects in reinforced concrete, steel, masonry and timber
  • Producing calculations, sketches and technical design information to support project delivery
  • Reviewing supplier and specialist contractor drawings, incorporating proprietary systems where required
  • Coordinating design information with architects, contractors and wider design team members
  • Responding to site queries and technical requests in a timely and practical manner
  • Attending design team meetings and site visits, representing the company professionally
  • Working to agreed project programmes and deadlines while managing your own workload effectively
  • Producing high‑quality engineering deliverables, including reports, calculations and design documentation
  • Supporting compliance with health, safety and design standards across all stages of project delivery
  • Participating in CPD sessions, technical discussions and internal knowledge sharing
Essential experience & key requirements:
  • Experience in structural design of buildings using reinforced concrete, steel, masonry and timber
  • Ability to review and integrate supplier and proprietary systems into design solutions
  • Strong understanding of construction products and structural systems
  • Experience coordinating with multi‑disciplinary design teams and contractors
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced consultancy environment
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage workload and deadlines
  • Proven ability to produce accurate, high‑quality technical outputs
  • Confident representing the business at meetings and site visits
  • Strong awareness of health & safety responsibilities in office and site environments
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and CPD
Required skills:
  • Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 2‑5 years' experience in structural engineering consultancy
