What You’ll Do:

  • Lead structural design packages for small-medium projects or own major elements on larger schemes
  • Produce and review calculations, models, drawings, and specs
  • Apply expert knowledge of UK design codes
  • Carry out detailed analysis using industry-standard tools
  • Support programmes, report progress, and contribute to bids and fee proposals
  • Bring smart, practical structural solutions that improve buildability and sustainability
  • Mentor junior engineers and support their development

What You Bring:

  • Chartered Structural Engineer (CEng MIStructE or CEng MICE with strong structural focus)
  • Proven experience delivering structural design for complex buildings or infrastructure
  • Strong technical capability across:
  • Steel, concrete, timber, masonry
  • Shallow & deep foundations
  • Structural assessments and refurbishment
  • Dynamic/seismic design (advantageous)
  • High proficiency in TSD, STAAD, Robot or Tedds
  • Experience working in integrated multidisciplinary teams
  • Sector experience in Aviation, Defence, Power or Custodial (big advantage!)
  • BIM and Navisworks knowledge
  • Understanding of CDM and structural safety
  • CSCS card, SC-clearance eligibility, full UK driving licence
  • Must be able to achieve and maintain security clearance for this role as required by clients and sectors
