The position of Graduate Geotechnical Design Engineer offers an excellent opportunity to begin your career within a supportive and technically focused environment. Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or a related discipline
- Strong academic background with a keen interest in geotechnical design
- Understanding of soil mechanics and foundation engineering principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
- Full UK driving licence preferred
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with the design of foundations, retaining walls, slope stabilisation and earthworks schemes
- Undertake geotechnical analysis and calculations using industry‑standard software
- Interpret ground investigation data and prepare geotechnical assessments
- Produce technical reports, specifications and design documentation
- Support senior engineers in the delivery of projects from feasibility through to construction
- Liaise with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams
- Attend site visits and monitor ground investigation and construction activities
- Assist with geotechnical risk assessments and value engineering solutions
- Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with relevant standards and industry guidance
- Contribute to the continuous development of technical knowledge and engineering best practice
