  • Full time hours on a temporary basis

Key Responsibilities

  • Development Management
  • Assess planning applications and associated transport documentation, including Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans, and Road Safety Audits.
  • Provide professional highway and transportation advice on planning applications and development proposals.
  • Review development layouts to ensure compliance with relevant design standards, policies, and guidance.
  • Negotiate amendments to development proposals to achieve acceptable highway and transportation outcomes.
  • Recommend planning conditions, obligations, and mitigation measures where required.
  • Highway Design and Technical Assessment
  • Evaluate the impact of developments on the existing highway network.
  • Assess highway design submissions, junction layouts, access proposals, parking provision, and sustainable transport measures.
  • Review drainage, street lighting, traffic management, and highway infrastructure proposals.
  • Ensure designs comply with national and local standards, including relevant highway specifications and design guides.
  • Identify and recommend appropriate highway improvements associated with new developments.
