A well-established UK engineering and energy solutions business is seeking an experienced CAD professional on a contract basis to support ongoing project delivery and internal design development at its Liverpool operation. Key Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality 3D CAD models, technical drawings and architectural renderings for ongoing engineering and infrastructure projects
  • Support the delivery of current design and engineering activities across multiple workstreams
  • Assist in the development and implementation of drawing control systems and document management procedures
  • Ensure all drawings and models comply with industry standards, internal governance and engineering best practice
  • Provide practical input into design risk management, liability awareness and technical compliance
  • Work closely with engineering, projects and design teams to maintain accurate and controlled technical documentation
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives relating to CAD processes, workflows and design standards

Essential Requirements

  • Strong 3D CAD experience within engineering, energy, industrial or construction environments
  • Experience producing architectural renderings and detailed technical models
  • Good understanding of design liability, technical risk limitation and drawing governance
  • Practical experience implementing or improving drawing control systems and CAD standards
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Ability to work independently while supporting wider engineering and project teams
