The Role
As a Dual Fuel Engineer with Orion, you’ll enjoy a stable, full-time position with excellent pay, bonuses, and benefits.
Responsibilities
- Install smart meters safely and efficiently in domestic properties.
- Deliver a professional, customer‑focused service on every visit.
- Ensure all work meets industry safety and compliance standards.

Pay & Package Options
- Salary Package: £45,000 per annum; 33 days holiday (including bank holidays); company van, fuel card, tools & uniform provided.
- Umbrella Day Rate Option 1: £200 per day, paid via Umbrella PAYE; company van, fuel card, tools & uniform provided.
- Umbrella Day Rate Option 2: £275 per day, paid via Umbrella PAYE; engineer provides own van & fuel; tools & uniform provided.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8am‑5pm (1‑hour lunch). Minimum of 4 jobs per day / 20 per week. Optional weekend work available once weekly targets are met.
Bonus Breakdown
- KPI Bonus £150 per month: Achieved by hitting 75% completion of your jobs in a calendar month.
- Attendance Bonus £150 per month: Awarded for full attendance and no sick days in a calendar month (pro‑rated for holiday taken).
- Call Out: Call out 1 week in 4; standby payments Monday Sunday; price per job: £150 per dual, £80 per single, £50 per transactional job; Saturday work available (paid at day rate).
Requirements
- Diploma or qualification in Smart Meter Engineering.
- MOCOPA certification (completed on induction if not already held).
- CMA1 certificate or CCN1 & MET1.
- Valid driving licence.
- Clean DBS check (recent certificate within 3 months preferred).
- EUSR card (advantageous but not essential).
