Responsibilities

  • Leading software design, development and implementation for DCS and PLC/SCADA systems
  • Managing and supporting a team through the full project lifecycle
  • Producing design and test documentation
  • Carrying out Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
  • Reviewing and checking technical work from other engineers
  • Supporting and mentoring junior engineers

Where you'll be doing it

You’ll join a well-established engineering business working on complex projects across energy, renewables and industrial environments. The team delivers high-integrity control systems in regulated sectors, with a strong focus on innovation and long-term development.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience with Siemens PCS7/Neo
  • Experience with at least one other PLC platform (Siemens, Rockwell or Schneider)
  • SCADA experience (e.g. WinCC, Zenon, FactoryTalk or similar)
  • Experience across the full project lifecycle
  • Ability to produce technical specifications and test documentation
  • Experience leading or mentoring engineers
  • Knowledge of IEC61131 programming (ladder, FBD, SFC, structured text)
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
