I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a civil engineering contractor delivering water infrastructure projects for Southern Water in West Sussex. This is a long-term opportunity working on a range of clean water and wastewater schemes, including pipelines, drainage, reinforced concrete structures and associated civils.
Responsibilities
- Setting out for pipelines, drainage, chambers and reinforced concrete structures
- Interpreting drawings and technical specifications
- Producing accurate as-built records and QA documentation
- Carrying out quality inspections and ensuring works meet specification
- Supporting the Site Agent and Project Manager with daily site activities
- Monitoring subcontractors and reporting site progress
- Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety on site
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Setting Out/Site Engineer on civil engineering projects
- Water or utilities experience is highly desirable
- Strong setting out experience using GPS and Total Station equipment
- Experience producing QA documentation and as-built records
- CSCS Card
- Full UK Driving Licence
