We're looking for a Section Engineer to join our Sizewell C Project team based in Suffolk.

Location: Sizewell C Project, Suffolk

Hours: Typically 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Overview

As a Section Engineer, you will plan, provide engineering control, and supervise site operations for a defined section of works within a highly regulated nuclear infrastructure environment. You'll act as the technical lead on site, supporting the Sub-Agent to ensure works are executed correctly, efficiently, and safely. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a major infrastructure project whilst making a real impact.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Section Engineer, you'll be working within the Sizewell C Project team, supporting them in delivering safe, high-quality construction activities. Your day to day will include:

  • Interpreting and implementing drawings, specifications, and design requirements on site
  • Supervising site operations and coordinating engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently, while maintaining strong working relationships
  • Assisting with short-term planning, programme updates, and progress tracking to keep the project on schedule
  • Producing and reviewing risk assessments and method statements, and delivering safety briefings to promote a strong safety culture
  • Maintaining as-built records and quality documentation to meet stringent quality standards

What are we looking for?

This role of Section Engineer is great for you if:

  • You hold a Degree, HNC, or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline
  • You have relevant experience in civil engineering, including site engineering and setting out in infrastructure, highways, heavy civils, or structures
  • You possess strong knowledge of construction methods, temporary works, and quality systems
  • You have strong IT skills with confidence using MS Office and AutoCAD
  • You are working towards professional membership such as ICE or CIOB, and hold a CSCS card
