As we continue to grow our national contracts, we’re looking for experienced Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineers to join our expanding team.
Pay & Package Options
Choose the option that suits your circumstances:
1? Salary Package
- £45,000 per annum.
- 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
- Company van, fuel card, tools & uniform provided
2? Guaranteed Day Rate Option 1
- £200 per day
- Paid via Umbrella PAYE
- Company van, fuel card, tools & uniform provided
3? Guaranteed Day Rate Option 2
- £275 per day
- Paid via Umbrella PAYE
- Engineer provides own van & fuel
- Tools & uniform provided
Bonus Breakdown
Boost your earnings with monthly incentives:
KPI Bonus £150 per month
- Achieved by hitting 75% job completion in a calendar month
Attendance Bonus £150 per month
- Awarded for full attendance with no sick days
- Pro-rated for holidays
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday, 8am5pm (1-hour lunch)
- Minimum 4 jobs per day / 20 per week
- Optional weekend work available once weekly targets are met
Call Out
- 1 week in 4 rota
- Standby payments MondaySunday
- Per job rates:
- £150 per dual install
- £80 per single
- £50 per transactional job
Saturday work available (paid at day rate)
The Role
As a Dual Fuel Engineer with Orion, you’ll benefit from a stable role with strong earning potential and a supportive team.
You will:
- Install smart meters safely and efficiently in domestic properties
- Deliver a professional, customer-focused service
- Ensure all work meets industry safety and compliance standards
- Represent Orion as part of a nationwide engineering team
Requirements
- Smart Meter Engineering qualification or diploma
- CMA1 or CCN1 & MET1
- MOCOPA certification (or completed during induction)
- Full UK driving licence
- Clean DBS check (recent within 3 months preferred)
- EUSR card (advantageous, not essential)
Documents required
Driving licence, passport, gas certificates, MOCOPA, qualifications, NI number, references, and DBS.
