Depot Engineer – Glasgow – Monday to Friday – 07:00-16:00 – 40 hours per week

Speedy is the UK’s leading hire provider, offering a wide range of tools, specialist equipment, plant and support services for every job. We operate a fleet of over 2500 generators ranging from 20 kva to 1400 kva, many of which are fitted with telematics and fully synced using Comap or Deep Sea panels. In this role you will regularly monitor and manage the service hours on these machines, and will be required to service and repair generators and compressor equipment as part of your duties. Our compressor range (260–1500 cfm) and recently added Stage v engines will also be included in your maintenance responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Service and repair generators, compressors and related equipment.
  • Maintain generator and compressor fleets.
  • Monitor and manage service hours to ensure optimal performance.

Qualifications

  • Full driving licence.
  • Experience maintaining and repairing similar types of equipment.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to work alone under pressure and as part of a team.
  • Flexible approach to hours.
  • Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy.
