We're looking for a Senior Engineer to join our team based in Exeter, Ipswich, or Salford. Location: Exeter, Ipswich, or Salford - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required. Hours: 40 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
What will you be responsible for?
- As a Senior Engineer, you'll be working within the Design team, supporting them in delivering coordinated and sustainable engineering solutions.
- You'll be delivering high-quality, compliant, and sustainable drainage and water solutions across a range of exciting projects.
- Working under the Design Team Leader, you'll take ownership of design packages whilst ensuring programme, budget, and risk commitments are met.
- This role also offers the opportunity to mentor and support early-career engineers, helping to shape the technical capability of our growing team.
Your day to day will include:
- Leading the technical delivery of drainage and water design packages across building, development, transportation, or flood management projects.
- Managing programme, budget, and risk commitments for your work packages, escalating issues where needed.
- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure integrated and efficient design delivery.
- Providing line management and mentoring to graduates or apprentices, supporting their technical development.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of team practices, standards, and delivery quality.

- You have demonstrated experience delivering drainage and water design packages with a high degree of technical autonomy.
- You're confident managing the technical delivery of work packages, including programme awareness, cost control, and proactive risk management.
- You enjoy working collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams and engaging effectively with stakeholders.
- You have a track record of producing high-quality, compliant engineering outputs in line with relevant standards and regulations.
- You hold a full driving licence and are willing to travel as required.
