With a strong pipeline of high-profile work, they are now seeking an Estimating Manager to lead and shape their estimating function. This is a genuine opportunity to build the division in your own image, with autonomy, ownership, and board-level visibility. Working arrangement is primarily on-site, with hybrid working potentially available for the right candidate - a set-up that would need to work for both you and the client, so this is one to discuss directly rather than assume.

The Role

Lead and develop the estimating division, implementing robust processes, strategy, and controls.

• Take full ownership of estimating activity across large-scale infrastructure and structural steel packages.
• Work closely with Tier 1 main contractors on bids, tenders, and negotiated projects.
• Oversee pricing strategy and value engineering.
• Mentor and support junior estimators.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on pipeline, forecasting, and business strategy.

About You

• Proven leadership experience in estimating within the structural steel sector.
• Confident dealing with Tier 1 contractors and familiar with their processes.
• Strong understanding of take-offs, pricing strategy, and tender submissions.
• Commercially astute with the ability to protect margin while remaining competitive.
• Ambitious, driven, and capable of building and shaping a high-performing division.
