Rainford Berry is recruiting on behalf of a leading independent property consultancy for an experienced Director of Building Surveying with a strong specialism in dilapidations. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded senior professional to lead and grow a high-performing dilapidations service line for investor, institutional, logistics and retail clients. Our client is a consultancy specialising in development, built asset, engineering and sustainability services. They advise investors, developers, occupiers and property owners across the commercial property sector.
The Role
- Lead and develop the clients dilapidations service line, combining technical strength with commercial focus.
- Deliver high-quality building surveying and dilapidations advice across a broad commercial property portfolio.
- Support business planning, service development, best practice, quality control and knowledge sharing.
- Manage client relationships, win new work and contribute to fee delivery and profitability targets.
- Mentor and develop colleagues while working collaboratively with wider service teams.
About You
- MRICS with a relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
- Strong technical expertise in building surveying and dilapidations.
- Established commercial property contacts and the ability to generate work.
- Confident, personable and credible with clients, colleagues and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead, influence, manage performance and respond constructively to challenges.
Skills and Market Awareness
